Victor L. Urbano, 95, of Columbus, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 at The Rehab and Healthcare of Gahanna.
He was born September 4, 1918 in Columbus, son of the late Frank and Maria Picco Urbano.
In addition to his parents, Victor was preceded in death by his grandson, Steven Jennings; brothers, Tornino, Sylvester and Gus Urbano; sisters, Irma Morlani, Martha Colombini and Allegra Urbano.
He served in the Army during WWII and retired from Ohio Malleable and Iron Company with 44 years of service.
Victor is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Betty Urbano; daughters, Mary Ellen (Joe) Flowers and Sue Ann Jennings; grandchildren, Terri, Jerri, Ronda and Christopher; great grandchildren, Travis, Kelly, Brittany, Natasha and Joellen; great great grandchildren, Jordan, Emra.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
Prayer and scripture service will be Thursday, April 17, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N. High St. Lewis Center, with Father David E. Gwinner, Presidor.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Central Ohio Chapter 1379 Dublin Rd. Columbus, OH 43215.
