Virgil E. Ellis

Virgil E. Ellis 86 of Columbus went to be with the Lord on Dec. 10, 2015. He was born July 25, 1929 in Vinton County to Jack and Frances Ellis who preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his first wife Betty (Graves). Survivors include his wife Maxine; children Rick (Sandy) Ellis, Randy Ellis, Vickie Ellis, Robin (Mike) Straley; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren; step children Ed (Ruth) Stepp, and Brenda (David) Rhodes; and many good friends and neighbors.

He attended Joan Heights Church of Christ in Christian Union for many years. Virgil was a Navy veteran, a plumber for the Plumbers & Pipefitters Union #189.

Visitation will be held from 4-8PM Monday Dec. 14, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home SW 3393 Broadway Grove City, OH 43123, where a funeral service will be held at 10AM Tuesday Dec. 15, 2015 with burial to follow at Londonderry Cemetery.
