Virginia "Ginny" Bent

Virginia "Ginny" Bent, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2026. Born on February 21, 1935 to the late Emil and Louise Metzger. She graduated from Sparland High School, Sparland, Illinois. Retired from the City of Columbus, member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Sarah Circle, YMCA and various other church activities. Previously an avid square dancer and member of Classic Steppers and Evening Raiders square dance clubs. She was preceded in death by husband Meridon Charles "Chuck" Bent, son Douglas Kimler and stepsons Phillip and Kerry Kimler, parents and three sisters. Ginny is survived by stepsons Thomas (Kelly) Bent and Steve Bent, grandchildren Ryan (Katie) Bent, Kellsey (Jeremy) Iles, Alex (Taylor) Weeks, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. 

Funeral will be held at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 3220 Columbus St., Grove City, OH 43123 on July 22, 2026 at 11:00am. 

The family greatly appreciates the staff and care givers at Traditions (Grove City Senior Living) and Luminary Hospice for their caring, thoughtfulness, support and love they have provided.
