Virginia Charlotte Brinkerhoff

Virginia Charlotte Brinkerhoff, 95, of New Albany, passed away Sunday, November 19, 2017.
Virginia was born February 8, 1922 to the late Glenn and Julia (McNeil) Griggs.
She served in the military during WWII as an aviation mechanic at the navel station in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. She was a lifetime member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the American Legion, and Women in Military Service of America.
Virginia will be deeply missed by her; children Wayne (Maureen) Brinkerhoff and Dale (Ray) Manley; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister Janice Knapp.
Virginia was preceded in death by her brothers Frank and Lyle and sister Viola.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 5, 2017, from 10am to 11am at Newcomer Funeral Home Northeast Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd. Columbus.
Funeral services will follow at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Todd Smeltzer officiating.
Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.
