Wanda O. Carter

Wanda O. Carter, 86 of Columbus, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Mt. Carmel West. She was born August 6, 1928 to the late Harvey and Cleo Murray. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan -GO BUCKS! She was a member of the American Legion Post 532 and Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years Clyde, her children Patricia, Kent, and Tara, daughter-in-law Robin, her parents, 7 brothers and 2 sisters. Wanda is survived by her children Sandy (Tom) Bender, Sue Carter, Dane, Thom, Steve, Mark (Lisa), Rhonda (Bill) Bell, Terry, Tammy (Elmer) Fletcher, Michele (Bill) Manley, Tomika Estep, 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, brother Oden Murray, sisters-in-law Rachel Clark and Maxine Patterson, and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her. Our family would like to thank the entire staff at Mt. Carmel West Palliative Care Unit for the great care they gave to our Mother.

Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at 1:00pm at the funeral home with Pastor John Meade will be officiating with interment to follow at Grove City Cemetery.
