Warren E. Moore Jr., 92, of Grove City, OH, went to be with the Lord on April 6, 2016. He was born on October 10, 1923 in Malden, Massachusetts.
Warren served in active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard during WWII. He had a passion for education and served as a coach, teacher and administrator in the Newton Massachusetts Public School system. He loved hunting, sports, his friends and most of all his family. Warren loved his Holt Park community. He founded the Men's Club, the Block Watch, and the annual Santa program. He led the effort to erect the community flag pole.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren E. Moore Sr. and Gladys (Rendle) Moore.
Surviving family includes wife of 70 years, Shirley, children, Suzanne (Steve) Moore, Jennifer (Tad) Hale, grandchildren, Peter (Kate) Hale, Ali (Kelson) Mathias, Keegan Hale, Hannah (Joshua) Sandberg, Wes (Ashley) Brown, great-grandchildren, Natalie Hale, Clara Hale, siblings, Gem Colvin, Joanann Marshall, and special friends, Skip and Millie Grace.
Visitation will be held from 1-3pm, Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH, where a memorial will begin at 3pm.
