Wilda Birt

Wilda Birt, 92, went to be with the Lord Jesus on Thursday, July 2, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio. Wilda was born on January 26, 1934, in Micco, West Virginia, to Kenneth and Edna (Browning) Gilkerson.

Wilda is preceded in death by her husband, Ezra "Cliff" Birt, and 6 siblings.

She is survived by daughters, Kaye (Wayne) Anthony, Sharon Mason (Michael) Mihaltian, Teresa (Jeff) Stevenson, son, Rusty Birt, 10 grandkids, and 15 great-grandkids. Also, by siblings Nancy Marquez, Carol Francis, and Darol Gilkerson.

She was a wonderfully loved mother and grandmother. In her own words, she was very whimsical, making everyone around her laugh. She will be missed by everyone.

She was a Christian all her life, leading family and friends to the Lord.

The family will welcome visitors on Monday, July 13, 2026, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Newcomer NE Chapel - 3047 E. Dublin- Granville Rd, Columbus, OH 43231, and Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 11:00 am. A burial at Northlawn Memory Gardens will follow.
