William B. Grice, 88, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014 in Newark, Ohio. Bill was born on August 29, 1926 in Nauvoo, Ohio to Bernard and Alice Grice.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles, Harold, Marvin, and Tom; and sister, Helen VanGundy.
He is survived by wife, Lois E. Grice; sons, Danny (Jodye), Ed (Cindy), and Paul (Toni); grandchildren, Brandon, Stephanie (Josh) Beatty, Amanda (Brad) Pausley, Preston, Kelsey (Paul) Seifker, and Josh (Ashley); sisters, Merle Adkins and Joy Egbert; brother, Louie; 12 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.
Bill was an Army Veteran and a member of the American Legion and the Johnstown VFW. He coached Johnstown Little League for many years and was an avid bowler. Bill retired from Rockwell International after 30 years of service. He loved to play Cribbage and spent many hours with his family playing countless games. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm and 8:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northeast Chapel, 3047 East Dublin-Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 12:00pm also at Johnstown Independent Baptist Church, 7397 Johnstown-Alexandria Road, Johnstown OH 43031. He will be laid to rest at Greenhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Generation Hospice, 26 N. Westmoor Ave, Newark, OH. 43055 in Bill's honor.
