William "Bill" P. Dowd

William "Bill" Dowd, 82, passed away November 18, 2024. He was born in Philadelphia, PA on July 13, 1942 to Gerard and Pauline Dowd (O'Brien), whom he is preceded in death by. He was also preceded in death by his wife, MaryAnn (Bores) Dowd. 

He is survived by, son, William Jr. (Colleen), and daughter, Beth. He was the beloved grandfather to DJ Hicks, Autumn Sanner, Morgan and Ryan Dowd.

Bill was a graduate of Mount Saint Mary's College in Emmitsburg, Maryland. He built a career that spans over forty years at Ross Laboritories as the director of sales and marketing. During his career, Bill mentored countless young men and women in shaping and building their careers. 

Bill was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was known as the Powell "Walkman" who spent hours and days exploring the walking trails around Powell and Highbanks Park. No matter his age, we struggled to keep up with him. Without his Polish Martha Stewart wife of 58 years, he could not even boil water.
