William "Bill"E. Ruffing

William "Bill" E. Ruffing passed away on April 4, 2015, at the age of 75. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Lynn (Ruffing) Fullard-Leo; his son, William O. Ruffing; his brothers, Nick and Dick Ruffing; his granddaughters, Alexis and Sarah Ruffing; step-sons, Jack and Brett Crawford; and his former wife and dear friend, Diane Ruffing.

Bill was born on June 4, 1939, to Lawrence Ruffing and Emma Margaret Ruffing, who predeceased him. Bill grew up in a loving home and attended West High School. Upon graduation he joined the Navy and served honorably on the USS Forrestal. Bill worked as a Budweiser Driver/Distributor, Teamster Union Rep until his retirement in 2009. He was dedicated to his work and continued to work during both bouts of cancer he went through. He was a member of the American Legion and volunteered at Chalmers P. Wiley VA Hospital. Bill enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Sarah, and his son, William, watching sports games and helping him with his martial arts school. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Family will receive friends on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, OH 43231 followed by funeral services at 7:00pm.
