William "Bill" J. Black, 61, of Columbus, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on April 12, 1955 to Ernest and Sylvia Black-Phelps. Bill is preceded in death by his father; sisters and brother, Linda, Fay and David.
Bill is survived by his wife, Susan Black; children, Jody, Amy, Jamie, Wendy, Joshua, Courtney and Sarah; several grandchildren; great-grandson, Wyatt; stepdaughter, T.J.; brothers, Henry (Glenda) and Eddie (Patty) special niece and nephew, Hank and Samantha; as well as many other nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors who will miss Bill deeply.
Bill was a very good person. He would do anything for anyone. He was a machinist his entire adult life. He was a good Christian man who attended Calvary Road Community Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in the name of William Black, c/o Newcomer Funeral Home, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123
A memorial service will be held Monday December 12, 2016 at 7 P.M. at Calvary Road Community Church, 5108 Norton Road, Grove City, OH 43123
