William Bolen

William Bryant Bolen was born on April 27, 1944, and died March 27, 2025. William passed away after enduring a lingering illness over the past year. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Donna Collins Bolen, 2 wonderful and caring children: Stefanie Bolen (James Davis), and John Bolen, 2 grandchildren: Airiel O'Bryan, Savanna Fields, and 5 great grandchildren; special and loyal friend Roger Kiefer; sisters-in-law Sandy Collins, and Melissa Collins-Ambler, brother-in-law Bruce Collins (Diane Collins), brothers and sisters Frank (Kathleen); Lois Paquette, Garnet Bolen, and Roger Bolen.

Preceding him in death are his grandson: Dwight Barrett, parents: John and Bonnie Bolen; 4 brothers and one sister. William was born in Matewan, WV and graduated from Magnolia High School where he excelled in all sports and then married the love of his life, Donna. He moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1964.

For all that knew him, William or "Bill", as he was known by many, was the ultimate Renaissance Man. There was nothing he could not fix, or do, or he would figure out how to do, was his motto. His presence will be missed by many, but his spirit, love, and stubbornness will always be with those that loved and respected him. William was known by many to be a handy man, fisherman, gardener, incredible husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be missed by many.
