William “Bill” Arthur Chadwick, 94, of Westerville, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 30, 2026, the day of his earthly birthday.
Born in Benito, Kentucky, Bill lived a life defined by faith, service, and love for his family. He proudly served 4 years in the United States Navy before building a career as an aircraft mechanic, later an automotive mechanic, and, as anyone who knew him would say, a true jack of all trades. While he could fix just about anything with his hands, his greatest calling was serving as an ordained Free Will Baptist minister. He served as Pastor of the North FWB Church for 43 years and Dailyville FWB Church for 9 years. His faith was not only something he preached; it was something he lived every day.
To those who knew him best, he was a steady presence. He was dependable, selfless, and, at times, wonderfully stubborn. He devoted his life to serving his Savior, loving his wife, caring for his family, and faithfully shepherding his congregation. His quiet strength, unwavering character, and servant's heart left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Outside of ministry, he found joy in cheering for Buckeye football, Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, spending time outdoors cutting grass, and, above all, being with his family. Whether sharing stories, lending a helping hand, or simply being present, the moments spent with him became the memories his family will treasure most.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary Francis, his siblings, and two children, Art “Arty” and Karen “KC”.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 74 years, Sarah; his children, Brenda (Ken), Donald (Lisa), Joshua; his grandchildren, Kyle (Jennifer), Krysten (Eric), Nick (Jessica), Hadley, Chad, Meghan; his great-grandchildren, Keegan, Kendall, Khloe, and Jaxson; and many extended family members, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ who were blessed by his life and ministry.
Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that his faith has become sight and that the legacy of love, service, and steadfast devotion he leaves behind will continue through the many lives he touched. Well done, thy good and faithful servant.
