William "Bill" Cowans, 65, passed away August 15, 2014. He was born on September 17, 1948.
Bill was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He owned and operated the William Cowans Company. He was an avid horse racing enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Dorothy Cowans.
Surviving family includes son, Doug (Mandy) Cowans, brothers, Chuck Cowans, Joe (Sharon) Cowans, grandchildren, Cayla, Cara, Chloe and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8pm, Monday, August 18, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. A funeral service will be held at 10am, Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Grove City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Disabled American Veterans, 35 East Chestnut Street, Columbus, OH 43215.
