William Eugene Morris passed away at the Estates of Knightbridge, formally the Forum, on February 17, 2026. He went to North High School and after high school, he worked for the Department of Natural Rescources until his retirement. From there he worked at the Forum for about 11 years. William was a long time member of Overbrook Presbyterian Church where he was a Deacon and an Elder. William also volunteered at Franklin County Children Services along with his wife Suzanne. William also went on the Honor Flight to Washington D. C. 

They spent their vacations and most weekends going camping. Camping at Myrtle Beach and Disney a few times and both of them loved it. Vacations together at Brown County state Park in Indiana, camping both times, rented two cabins at Hocking Hills, we went twice, we also went ot Venice, Florida once and twice to Put-in-Bay. 

William was a Vietnam veteran and was in the Navy from September 1968 to June 1970. 

William is survived by his sister Sandy Maple, sister-in-law Louanne Clawson, Nephews, Jonathan Caldwell, Robert (Cynthia) Caldwell and Charles (Dawn) Clawson. Also, good friends who helped him out a lot Ken and Doris Sterling and four legged companion Daisy. He is also survived by many other friends. William never met a stranger. 

Proceeded in death by his wife Suzanne Morris, parents Paul and Audrey Morris, brothers-in-law William Maple and Don Clawson. 

There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 1pm at Overbrook Presbyterian Church 4131 N. High St. Columbus, OH 43214.
