William F. Vawters

William "Bill" F. Vawters, 83, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away July 1, 2016 with his daughters by his side. He was born January 23, 1933 in Columbus, OH.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna J. (Wheeler) Vawters; father, Andrew Vawters; mother, Elizabeth (Howard) Vawters; brothers, Harold and Howard Vawters and sister, Irma (Vawters) Maddox.

He is survived and lovingly remembered by his daughters, Kathy Baker, Dublin, OH, Linda (Lee) Van Syckle, Algonquin, IL, Kimberly (John) Brown, Columbus, OH, Kerri Vawters, Reynoldsburg, OH, Brenda Vawters, Dublin, OH, sister, Sue (Vawters) Ashton; his twin sister, Wilma (Vawters) (Bob) Yount; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; special friends, Bill Brown and Bob Weatherall and many nieces and nephews.

Bill worked for The Ohio Bell Telephone Company from where he retired with 32 years in 1982, he is also retired from NAPA Auto Parts. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Grove City, OH. He was also a member of the CWA and a proud member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm, Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Thursday, July 7, 2016 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Hilliard, Ohio.
