William A. Garber "Bill", age 90, of Galloway, passed away peacefully in his home on June 28, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born on January 21, 1930 to the late Freda E. and Henry A. Garber in Columbus, Ohio.
Bill was also preceded in death by his brothers and sister-in-law, Kenneth E. Garber, Dale O. and Kathy Garber; son-in-law, Thomas A. Runyon and grandson, Phillip W. Runyon. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Joan; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy (Marty) Ramseck, Jo Ellen Garber and Amy (Scott) Richardson; sister-in-law, Rita Garber; grandchildren, Thomas A. (Lindsey Stecz) Runyon II, Emily J. Abrams and Anthony J. Richardson; many nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his faithful companion, his beagle, Dinky.
Bill was a graduate of West High School class of 1948 and Franklin University. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was owner of Garber's TV and was an Adjunct Professor at Franklin University. Bill served as President of Oakhurst Country Club and was a member of the Grove City Jaycees, Hickory Hills Golf Club and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Bill's name to Mount Carmel Hospice or Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
The family will receive guests on Friday, July 3, 2020 from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3730 Broadway in Grove City. The Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m.
