He was born on August 30, 1951 in Columbus, OH.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick William Herbst, Doris Ann (Haverfield) Herbst, sister Diane Lee Herbst and wife Bernadette (Starcevich) Herbst.
He is survived by his brother James Frederick Herbst, nephews James Frederick Herbst Jr. and Jeffrey William Herbst, their wives and children.
Per the families wishes, there will be no formal funeral services.
