LEIBROCK
William "Bill" Leibrock, 90, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016. William was born to Adolph and Elsie (Ruffing) Leibrock in Galloway, Ohio on October 25, 1925. He passed away peacefully with his wife of 63 years at his side.
William is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank and Paul; brother-in-law, Frank Bartlett. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; brothers, Jack (Doris) Leibrock and Charlie Leibrock; sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Doris Leibrock, Elinor Bartlett and brother-in-law Ned (Judy) Brokaw; daughters, Denise (Dan) Mackey and Susan (Robert) DuPont; grandchildren, Derek (Tessa) DuPont and Brock DuPont. There are also many other nieces, nephews and extended family members who will miss William.
He graduated from Grove City High School in the class of 1944. After high school William proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was a Technician 3rd Grade (T3) during World War II where he served in Japan for almost a year. While in the Army, William learned to operate heavy equipment and became an operating engineer. After leaving the military, William continued to work as an operating engineer for Otto Bess and Scioto Erectors.
William was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Grove City 65 plus years. He served in the Operating Engineers Union Local #3 retirees division as an officer and social director. He was a carpenter, gardener and was known for his tomatoes and loved to mow his lawn. He was also an avid bowler with his wife. William and Dorothy were in bowling leagues for many years in Grove City. He enjoyed going to his grandsons' activities and sporting events. He also enjoyed traveling in the RV with his family after retirement. William and Dorothy have been long time members of Grove City United Methodist Church.

A Masonic Funeral service will be performed at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Visitation will follow at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH, on Friday April 8, from 5:30-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the Grove City United Methodist Church (Purple Door Church) 2684 Columbus Street, Grove City, OH on Saturday, April 9, at 9 a.m. with burial to follow at Sunset Cemetery.
