William "Bill" Lindley Jr., 76, of Columbus, passed away Friday, June 1, 2018.
Bill was born December 13, 1941 to William Sr. and Jossie (Cato) Lindley.
He was a long time member of the Worthington Seventh Day Adventist Church. Bill loved spending time with his family and friends, he never knew a stranger. He enjoyed cooking, playing golf, basketball, cards and scrabble. Bill love to play and joke around with his bright personality. He also enjoyed watching sports and was a devoted Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Bill worked for Kelloggs/Worthington Foods for over 40 years.
Bill will be deeply missed by his significant other Elizabeth Schilling; daughter Carisa "JaRee" (Dale E.) Zaiser; grandchildren Chad (Emily) Zaiser and Ashley Wolf; great-grandchildren Aaliyah, Jaden, Mia, Cayden; brother Larry (Sharon) ; sisters Pat (Jay) Petti, Janet Lindley along with numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife Carol Jean Floyd Lindley, daughter Lori LeAnn Farley sisters Rosemary and Shirley.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 4pm to 6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home NE 3047 E. Dublin Granville Rd., Columbus.
Funeral services will follow at 6pm at the funeral home with Pastor Chris Eldridge officiating.
Burial will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Newcomer to assist the family.
