William Mattern

William "Bill" Mattern, 83, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in Columbus, OH. He was born on January 8, 1931 in Hollidaysburg, PA to Glenn and Annabelle (Shinafelt) Mattern.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Mattern; and sister, Marjorie Mumaugh.
He is survived by daughter, Valerie (Mark) McKenzie; son, Jeffrey (Kate) Mattern; grandchildren, Becky (Matt) Mothersbaugh, and Quinn and Gage Mattern; great grandson, Jack Mothersbaugh; sisters, Betty (Charles) Brenneman and Kay Biddle; and many other loving family members and friends.
Bill worked with Ford Motor Company for 33 years in Cleveland, OH. He was very mechanically inclined and could fix anything; from tractors to motorcycles. Bill will be missed by all that knew him.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus, OH 43231 followed by funeral services at 4:00pm.
