William R. Mayes, 72, passed away August 16, 2018.
He was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Inez Mayes; wife, Eva Mayes; daughter, Melinda Murdock; brother, Pumpkin Mayes.
Bill is survived by daughters, Tammy (Clayton) Burks and Carolyn Rathburn; step-children, Barry (Peggy) Bowles and Bobby (Kathy) Bowles; siblings, Lucy (Steve) Buckler and Steven (Linda) Mayes; step-sister, Tesla "Sis" Sprouse; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.
Retired from Emerson Lumber after many years. Bill enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He was a member at First Calvary.
Visitation Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 5-8pm at Newcomer, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH. Funeral Service Monday, August 20, 2018 at 1pm at the Funeral Home. Entombment to follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, OH.
