William P. Obyc, 88, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2014. Bill was born in Wheeling, WV on August 21, 1926, to Albert and Eva Obyc and is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jane Jorishie and Stella Botizan and brother, Walter Obyc.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Carmella (Malizia) Obyc; daughters, Michele (William) Dougherty and Renee (Noah) Harner; brothers, Richard (Mary Ann) Obyc; grandchildren, Brandon and Tyler Dougherty and Quinn Harner; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Bill was a WWII Navy Veteran, worked for Ohio Bell/AT&T and retired after 35 years of service. The family will observe private services.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Road, Columbus, OH 43215.
