William "Lee" Palmer, 70, of Columbus, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 25, 2014 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
He was born July 28, 1943 in Columbus, son of the late William H. and Martha H. (Davies) Palmer.
In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Williams.
He retired from the Columbus Fire Department with 25 years of service.
Lee is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Teresa Marie (Rose) Palmer; children, Diana (Jerry) McDonald, Jeffrey (Regina) Palmer, Gina (Mike) Matchack, Tracie (William) Kemp, Karen Palmer and Christina (Chad) Lucas; brother, Larry (Jeanette) Palmer; sister, Roxanna (Wade) Siemens; 12 grandchildren- Heather, Christopher, Kiara, Tyler, Stuart, PJ, Alexis, Sean, Jacee, Mia, Chadder and Destanie; 4 great grandchildren- Jaiden, Xander, Jackson and Eva. Constant companion, Smokey. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 30, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home NE Chapel, 3047 E. Dublin-Granville Rd. Columbus.
Funeral service will be Thursday, May 1, 2014 at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
