William R. Smiar Jr.

William R. Smiar Jr., age 75, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016, with his family by his side.
Surviving family includes wife, Willika Smiar; daughters, Stephanie (Jason Haystead) Smiar, Melissa Bailey and Laura Smiar Spencer; son, Thomas Smiar; and loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and William Smiar Sr.; and son, Timothy Smiar.
Bill worked for Yellow Freight trucking for over 20 years before retiring in 2009. He was known to be a kind, generous, and hard working man with a great sense of humor. He knew no strangers and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, SW Chapel, 3393 Broadway, Grove City, OH 43123. Funeral service will be held Friday, August 12, 2016 at 1PM also at Newcomer Funeral Home, SW Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Concord Cemetery.
