William D. Schoppert Jr.

October 3, 1935 — March 19, 2023

William D. Schoppert, Jr., 87, passed away March 19, 2023. He was preceded in death by parents, William D. Schoppert, Sr. and Alice Schoppert; sister, Lorie Hladky; brother, Dennis Schoppert. Bill is survived by wife of over 50 years, Barbara Schoppert; sons, Craig (Donna), Keith, and Kevin (Lindsay) Schoppert; grandchildren, Justin, Lauren, Trevin, Megan, Tori, Braden, and Kendal; great grandchildren, Samantha, Anthony, Madyson, Keith, Kylie, and Kara; brother, Robert Schoppert; sisters-in-law, Patricia and Norma; brother-in-law, Bud; many nieces and nephews.

Bill proudly served our country in the United States Navy. He retired from the Baltimore City Police Department after 27 years of service. Bill enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, shooting pool, and throwing horseshoes. Bill also enjoyed eating Maryland steamed crabs and drinking beer with family and friends. He was an avid Baltimore Colts fan. Bill also spent time watching his sons and grandchildren's sporting events. He was well known for his homemade sweet tea.
