Bill left Kobacker House from cancer to be with the Lord on July 29, 2017. He was born on January 26, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Ed and Iva Stillings.
He graduated from Columbus North High School, 1949, and O.S.U. School of Music, 1953. He served in the U.S. Army. He taught General Music at Willoughby-Eastlake School District and vocal music at Columbus Linden-McKinley and Columbus Brookhaven.
He was a member of O.S.U Men's Glee Club and O.S.U. Men's Glee Club Alumni Society. He was a former member of Columbus Symphony Chorus. He played piano with various dance bands.
He is survived by his wife, two children, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Bill always wanted others to remember "Faith plus nothing equals salvation" and Paul's gospel I Corinthians 15:1-4. Bill loved to study the Bible with several men's Bible study groups and reminds us that Sunday School is very important for older people too, not just youngsters.
Bill thanks Maize Manor U.M. Church, friends, community and family across the country for support and prayers. Special thanks to Roy and Jane.
Please no flowers. Give to the mission project that you love.
