Willie A. Gunter

Willie Albert Gunter was born to the late Albert and Addie Mae (Borum) Gunter on June 23, 1942 in Dearing, Georgia. As a youth his friends and family remember Willie as a natural born entertainer, he had a gift for making people laugh. Willie also had a passion for music, he would play in his church band from childhood to adult, and for many years people would gather around him to hear him sing and play the harmonica. Furthermore, Willie would often go fishing, that was a hobby he truly enjoyed. Willie Albert Gunter took flight on Tuesday February 14, 2017, leaving a host of loving family members and friends to cherish his memory. Willie will be sadly missed by his wife of 31 years, Hilda Gunter, son Gregory Gunter (Karen), granddaughter Iyanna Boyd (Timothy), great grandson Timothy Boyd Jr, stepdaughter Sharon Denise Scales, sisters Jonnie Mae Bradshaw (Jimmy), Myrtle Lou Merritt (Willie), Alberta Williams, brothers Horace Gunter (Mickie), Ervin Gunter and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great great nieces, and special friend Cathy Kennedy.
