Willie James Shepherd was born on December 11, 1957 in Dayton, OH to Allen and Rebia Baccus. He lived a full life as a dedicated son, brother, father, was affectionately known as "Paw-Paw" by his grandchildren and loved dearly by family and close friends.
Willie graduated from Trotwood Madison High School, in Dayton, OH. He was a jack-of-all trades taking work as a carpenter, mechanic, cook, and roadmaster who traveled all over the country for work and play.
His family road trips to Florida will always be cherished. He was an adventurous fisherman who loved live music, Motown funk and soul. Most of all, Willie was a family man who was proud to protect, provide and love his family.
He was a great friend and a gift to us all.
Willie is predeceased by his grandparents: Robert and Annie Ruth Shepherd; parents: Allen and Rebia Baccus; nephew: Allen Baccus Jr..
He is survived by his children: Antwain Junies, Danielle Montague, Sena Baccus (Little Sena); grandchildren, DeShawn Jeffrey, Angel Montague, Imagine Jordan, Prince Jordan, Sydney Maynard; siblings, Sena Baccus (Big Sena), Darrell Baccus (Bam), Allen Baccus Sr.; nephews; Rayfield Lewis, Jason Lewis, Maurice Baccus; Jermaine Maddox; niece: Ebony Baccus; uncles: Thomas Shepherd and James Shepherd; life partners and close friends: Roberta Montague, Ruth Norris (Miss Ruth).
Willie will be missed by many, especially Spiritual Advisor and good friend Mr. Carl Radcliff; longtime friends: William Carroll (Hotwire), Donald Thompson, Wonder Ross, Dean Miller, Mother Janice Davies-May, Jill Paschal, Janet and Dale, and fishing buddies: David and Ricky; Bestfriend, Tony Harris n-the-pocket showband; Kim and children, Sheree, Nate, Blue his favorite pet; as well as many other friends and a host of family.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 29th, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - NE Chapel, 3047 East Dublin Granville Road, Columbus, Ohio 43231
