Yong H. Morris, known to her family as Sue, passed away at Kobacker House, after a short battle with cancer on December 11, 2025. She was born on September 30, 1947, and led a life marked by strength, independence, and generosity. Yong's presence was a blessing to those who knew her; to know her was truly to love her.
Yong was actively involved with the Korean Church of Columbus and the Korean American Women's Association, where she contributed her time and talents for years. Her passionate spirit extended to her hobbies as well, where she found joy in reading the Bible and gardening. She enjoyed making food for others, and always had a hot pot of rice for anyone that stopped by. Sue was infamous for her Bulgogi and Japchae.
She leaves behind her loving daughters, Linda (Josh) Crandall and Carol (Ed) Coyle, and her cherished grandchildren, Grace, Addison, Hunter, Brynn, and Carolyn. She is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews, who will remember her fondly.
Yong was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe V. Morris, along with her parents, Tu Song Kang and Mae Wol Kang.
A visitation will be held on December 19, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel, located at 10051 Brewster Lane, Powell, OH.
Yong will be missed dearly, but her legacy of love and strength will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
