SADLER, Thomas H., “Tom”, 80, of Grove City, OH, passed away peacefully January 22, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Born May 21, 1934 in Jackson, OH to Thomas E. and Dora M. (Erwin) Sadler, Tom was a graduate of Central High School in Columbus and earned a bachelor’s degree in English from The Ohio State University. In July of 1956, Tom married his high school sweetheart, Helen (Evans) Sadler and they were married for 59 years. Those close to Tom will miss his wonderfully irreverent sense of humor. He had great passion for jazz, poetry, cooking, gardening and traveling. He enjoyed great conversation and sharing entertaining stories of his life and many adventures. Tom held dear his life-long friendships and will be remembered by many as a loyal friend. Above all Tom was absolutely devoted to his wife and family. He was a deeply caring, compassionate and courageous person, always putting the needs of his family before his own, even as he faced devastating health problems.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Edward O. Sadler. He is survived by his wife, Helen; daughters Susan Tarker, Ellen Sadler (Leni Anderson), Catherine Grubb (Fred Stokes) , Jennifer Sadler (Mark Holtman) and son, Thomas Sadler (Alex and Tobias); grandchildren Daniel Montgomery (Sarah and great-grandson, Thomas), Christopher Love, Candice Sadler, Colleen and Kaitlyn Boyd, Ashley Grubb and Carrissa Johnston. He will also be deeply missed by his loving nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Thomas H. Sadler Memorial Fund. All donations will go directly to his wife to help with expenses-
